در کتاب مراسم شمشیرها(کتاب هفتم از سری حلقه جادوگر)، ثور با میراثش گلاویز می‌شود، مبارزه‌ای برای قبول پدرش یا فاش کردن رازش و اقداماتی که باید انجام دهد. برگشت به خانه در رینگ با مایکلاپس در کنارش و شمشیر سرنوشت در دستش، ثور انتخاب می‌شود تا به خون‌خواهی ارتش آندرونیکوس برخیزد و سرزمین مادری‌اش را آزاد کند و سرانجام به گاندولین پیشنهاد ازدواج بدهد. ولی او یاد می‌گیرد که نیروهایی حتی بزرگتر از او در دنیا وجود دارند که ممکن است جلوی راهش را بگیرند.
