خلاصه کتاب بازی‌های كوييلن (جلد 7 پندراگن):
کوييلن قلمرويي است در آستانه‌ي نابودي. مردمِ کوييلن هيچ تسلطي بر زندگي‌شان ندارند و بايد هر روز با تمام قوا تلاش کنند و جان بکنند تا زنده بمانند. تنها چاره‌ي آن‌ها براي داشتن زندگي بهتر آن است که در بازي‌هاي کوييلن شرکت کنند. بازي‌هاي کوييلن آميزه‌اي است از ورزش و مبارزه و برگزارکننده‌هايش دو بازي‌گردانِ عجيب هستند به نام‌هاي ويگو و لابرژ. اين دو نفر براي سرگرمي و تفريح و البته کسب پول، مردم کوييلن را مجبور مي‌کنند وارد مسابقات‌شان شوند؛ مسابقاتي که هم در آن‌ها نبردهاي تن‌به‌تن هست و هم کارهايي چنان دشوار که به نظر غيرممکن مي‌رسند و هم رقابت با «دستگاه» هايي بسيار باهوش و مرگبار. پيروزي در اين بازي‌ها يعني داشتنِ زندگيِ شاهانه. باختن يعني مرگ.
بابي پندراگن بر روي قلمروي کوييلن در چنين وضعيتِ خطرناک و مرگباري گير افتاده. به سرعت مي‌فهمد تنها راهِ نجاتِ قلمرو کوييلن اين است که ويگو و لابرژ را در بازي‌هاي خودشان شکست بدهد و کاخِ ترسناکِ پر از «بازي» شان را ويران کند؛ اما بابي ممکن است چيزهاي بيشتري در اين بين از دست بدهد. اگر ببازد، قطعاً مي‌ميرد. اگر ببرد، جايزه‌ي پيروزي‌اش آن است که حقيقت را درباره‌ي «مسافر» ها مي‌فهمد.
کتاب بازي‌هاي کوييلن بدون شک هيجان‌انگيزترين و شوک‌آورترين داستانِ مجموعه‌ي ماجراجويي‌هاي پندراگن است. از همه مهم‌تر آن‌که براي اولين بار در اين مجموعه، بابي پندراگن کاملاً تنهاست.

They use the people of Quillan as pawns for their amusement as they force them to enter competitions that range from physical battles, to impossible obstacle courses, to computer-driven tests of agility. To triumph in the games is to live the life of a king. To lose is to die.
This is the dangerous and deadly situation Bobby Pendragon finds on Quillan. He quickly realizes that the only way to save this troubled territory is to beat Veego and LaBerge at their own games and dismantle their horrible fun house. But there is more at stake for Bobby.
